Pentingnya Pengelolaan Sampah Plastik dalam Gaya Hidup Berkelanjutan: Mengenal Ecobreak

Gaya hidup berkelanjutan menjadi topik yang semakin banyak dibicarakan berbagai komunitas aktivis lingkungan belakangan ini, terutama di tengah kekhawatiran terhadap dampak lingkungan yang semakin meningkat akibat sampah pastik. Salah satu aspek yang menjadi fokus dalam gaya hidup berkelanjutan adalah pengelolaan sampah plastik, yang semakin menjadi masalah di berbagai negara didunia termasuk Indonesia.

Sampah plastik yang tidak terkelola dengan baik dapat mencemari lingkungan dan mengancam keberlangsungan kehidupan hewan dan manusia dan seluruh makhluk dunia ini. Oleh karena itu, perlu ada upaya yang lebih serius dalam mengelola sampah plastik. Apalagi di Bali sebagai destinasi wisata, sangat urgent untuk mengelola dengan baik masalah sampah plastik.  Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam konteks pendidikan disekolah adalah melalui kegiatan proyek P5 (penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila) yang ada dalam Kurikulum merdeka.  Sehingga Siswa kelas X SMAN Satu Atap Klumpu merancang dan mulai melangkah melaksanakan projek dalam sebuah kegiatan nyata yang dikenal dengan nama Ecobreak.

Ecobreak adalah pola pengelolaan sampah plastik yang bertujuan untuk mengurangi penggunaan plastik sekali pakai dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah plastik. Kegiatan ini sebenarnya sudah mulai banyak dikompanyekan oleh komunitas yang peduli terhadap lingkungan dan berusaha untuk memberikan solusi atas masalah sampah plastik.

Secara umum kegiatan projek ini telah disepakati oleh siswa dan guru selaku pendamping dalam projek yang dilanjutkan dengan merancang rencana kegiatan. Sehingga mulai awal maret 2023 siswa mulai mengumpulkan sampah plastik dari lingkungan sekitar sekolah , dan rumah tempat tinggal . Dan hari ini tanggal 10 maret 2023 siswa mulai mengolah sampah plastik yang dikumpulkan menjadi ecobreak dengan menjadikan sampah plastik menjadi tempat sampah/tong sampah, dan kedepan akan dikembangkan menjadi produk sederhana.

Pada tahap ini siswa telah berhasil melaksanakan tahapan pertama yaitu dengan mengumpulkan sampah palstik dan memasukkan sampah plastik selembaran kedalam sampah botol. Direncanakan nanti akan dirangkai menjadi tempat sampah atau tong sampah.

Artikel ini akan terus di update sesuai perkembangan projek pengelolaan sampah plastik ini.
